Lexington County deputies searching for suspect in connection to shooting

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a man in connection to shooting that occurred Friday morning on Hartley Quarter Road.

Deputies say they’re looking for 32-year-old Jacob Hill following Friday’s shooting.

The department ended an active search for Hill near Pelion Road at around 11 a.m., but say they’re still looking for the man, according to post on X.

At around 7 a.m. this morning, one person was shot but is expected to recover, according to a spokesperson with the department.

“Hill is a person of interest based on preliminary information we received from people at the scene on Hartley Quarter Road,” Capt. Adam Myrick said.
