21-year-old charged in connection to October shooting in Columbia

A 21-year-old man has been charged with assault and battery in connection to an October shooting.

Jaishawn Kyles is charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and armed robbery, Columbia Police said Thursday.

The nonfatal shooting that happened Oct. 24 on the 800 block of Lost Creek Drive.

Kyles was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where his bond was set at $100,000, court records show.
