A joint task force consisting of the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service has captured a sixth suspect connected to a deadly shooting last month.

Jatarrius Penciel, 18, was charged with murder and criminal conspiracy following a drive-by shooting on Nov. 17, in which 21-year-old Kyree Walker was killed, according to a news release.

“We’re continuing this investigation until anyone remotely associated with the case is locked up,” the sheriff said in the release. “We’re not finished with this investigation.”

Penciel’s arrest follows five others, including Anthony Fersner, 18; Tristan Mack, 19; Derron Holloway, 18; and Jaden Ferguson, 18, who have all been charged with murder and criminal conspiracy. Kamari Williams, 17, was also arrested and charged with murder.

Ravenell gave praise to the U.S. Marshals Service, which joined the search for Penciel after offering two $5,000 rewards that led to the capture of Fersner and Mack.

“They have been a tremendous help in tracking down these individuals,” Ravenell said in the release. “We appreciate all they have done in finding these suspects.”
