Richland deputies make arrest in connection with Two Notch Road shooting

A man was arrested in connection to an early morning shooting Friday, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Mikalo Coles, 27, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime following a shooting Friday that left one person injured, according to a news release.

An investigation into the shooting, which occurred around 1 a.m. Friday at the 10,000 block of Two Notch Road, near TD Bank, revealed surveillance footage of Coles’ vehicle at the scene. Deputies with the fugitive task force and SWAT team located and arrested Coles on Farrow Road, without incident, around noon Friday, a release said.

Coles was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, where he currently awaits a bond hearing, according to the release.
