Search for man accused of robbing jewelry store at gunpoint, Columbia police say
A search is underway for the man who recently robbed a jewelry store in South Carolina, according to the Columbia Police Department.
The man was armed with a handgun when he’s accused of robbing the Kay Jewelers at 4400 Fort Jackson Boulevard, police said Thursday. That’s in a strip mall that’s a part of the Rosewood Crossing shopping center near the intersection with Devine Street.
The robbery happened Monday, according to police.
Employees inside the store were not hurt, and no injuries were reported by police.
Information about what was stolen was not available.
Police said they believe the robbery suspect is about a 6-foot tall man who was wearing a brown puffer vest, dark pants and black Adidas sneakers.
