Overnight shooting leaves one dead in Aiken. Deputies now searching for suspect
One person is dead following a Friday night shooting, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Teapot Road in Aiken, according to a news release. Details surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
The victim, identified as 30-year-old Demarcus Crawford, was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead at 8:01 p.m., according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
No suspects have been identified as the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and coroner’s office continue to investigate the shooting, according to the release.
