SC man accused of sharing child sexual abuse material, task force says

A 55-year-old Sumter man is accused of distributing child sexual abuse material online, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced Friday.

Kevin Neil Dick was arrested Tuesday and charged with four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, the attorney general’s office said in a statement.

Investigators with South Carolina’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force made the arrest following a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the statement said.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service, which are both members of the task force, assisted with the investigation.

Dick, whose case will be prosecuted by the attorney general’s office, faces up to 10 years in prison on each of his four counts.
