Despite becoming a millionaire overnight, thanks to a winning lottery ticket, a Midlands man says he’ll continue his life as is.

The Bishopville man, who wishes to remain unidentified, told state lottery officials that “he’s the same person he was” before purchasing a $20 scratch off ticket at the B & R Market on East Church Street and winning $2 million, according to a news release.

“I’m still working, but it feels good just to have it,” the man said in the release.

After beating the 1 in 1,480,000 odds in the 200X game, the man classified the win as “awesome!” Four more top prizes of $2 million remain in the game, according to the release.

For selling the claimed ticket, B & R Market in Bishopville received a commission of $20,000, the release said.
