After selling methamphetamine to undercover law enforcement agents twice, a Camden woman was sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for meth distribution, U.S. Department of Justice prosecutors announced Friday.

Angela Peterson Black, 53, of Camden was sentenced for distributing meth by U.S. Judge Mary Geiger Lewis, according to a news release.

Black sold almost 200 grams of “ice” to undercover federal law enforcement agents on two occasions in 2022, according to the news release. Later in 2023, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department found narcotics in her vehicle and home. She was arrested in 2023 and granted bond, but her bond was later revoked after Black tried to use a fraudulent urine sample for a drug test, according to the release.

Her case was investigated by federal agencies, West Columbia Police Department, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Elle E. Klein prosecuted the case, according to the release.
