Lexington County man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, SLED says

A Lexington County man was charged with sex crimes against a minor after investigators discovered a video the man shared of the minor performing a sexual act, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement of Division.

Steven Michael Schulz, 48, was charged with third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and unlawful dissemination of obscene material to a person under 18 years of age on Wednesday, according to a news release.

On or around Oct. 25, 2024, Schulz shared a video of a minor boy performing fellatio on him, according to an arrest warrant.

Schulz was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
