Orangeburg deputies seek 2 suspects in convenience store shooting
Investigators are searching for two men in connection with a daytime shooting at an Orangeburg convenience store that left no one injured but prompted attempted murder charges, according to Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenel.
The shooting occurred Wednesday around 1:30 p.m. at the Marathon/4-Way Stop convenience store located at Magnolia and Chestnut streets, according to a news release. Deputies responded to the scene after multiple shots were fired, the release said.
“We were lucky no one was injured,” Ravenell said in the release. “But make no mistake about it, anyone that dreams about aiding or hiding these individuals will be prosecuted.”
So far, deputies have charged Ciarra Copeland, 31, with accessory after the fact of a felony, and Yikese Franklin, 24 with attempted murder, aggravated breach of peace, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and criminal conspiracy.
Qzah Brown, 19, and Daniel Brown, 22, remain at large on charges of attempted murder, aggravated breach of peace and criminal conspiracy. Qzah Brown is also wanted for possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to the release.
