Body found in Lexington County identified as missing woman Elena Moore
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office identified the body discovered Wednesday as missing person Elena K. Moore.
The body of a white female was discovered June 17 near Old Cherokee Road and Northlake Drive in Lexington County.
The search was conducted following a tip that led the Lexington Police Department to expand their search for. Moore, 39, was missing several days earlier on June 12.
An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday at MUSC in Charleston and additional information may be released on Monday, according to a news release.
