Kershaw County deputies investigate rash of car break-ins
Kershaw County sheriff’s deputies are requesting the public’s assistance in protecting themselves against car break-ins that have occurred throughout several of the county’s subdivisions.
Deputy Chief Marvin Brown said several vehicles were broken into Wednesday night in the Rocky Branch subdivision near Session Road. Investigators believe, Brown said, that there are multiple suspects involved in the break-ins.
Brown said the suspects are targeting both locked and unlocked vehicles and are taking anything of value from the car. So far there have been guns, money, stereos and GPS systems that have been reported stolen.
Brown urged residents in the area to not leave anything of value in a vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding the break-ins is urged to call Crimestoppers at 1 (888)-CRIME-SC.
