Lexington police searching for burglary suspect

Lexington police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a burglary suspect they say stole money from a restaurant Thursday morning.

Police Chief Terrence Green said the suspect forced his way into Stephano’s Restaurant, located in the 400 block of Columbia Avenue near Sunset Boulevard, and stole money from the restaurant’s register.

Green said the suspect is described as a white male with scruffy facial hair and possibly in his 30’s. The restaurants video surveillance showed the suspect was wearing black gloves, a coat and baseball hat.
