Lexington man killed in early-morning wreck identified

A 39-year-old Lexington man was killed after an early-morning, one-car accident on Pond Branch Road.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the man as Mike Trainor Jr., age 39, of Lexington. He was alone in the car that wrecked at about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Pond Branch Road in the town of Lexington, Fisher said Saturday afternoon.

An autopsy has been scheduled, she said. The coroner’s office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
