Columbia Police looking for Subway armed robbery suspect

The Columbia Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a suspect wanted for armed robbery.

Columbia Police Public Information Officer Jennifer Timmons said a man was armed with a knife and threatened an employee at the Subway restaurant located at 1100 Elmwood Avenue on Saturday. According to Timmons, the man’s accused of robbing the business and hitting the employee before fleeing.

The suspect shown in a surveillance picture released by the Columbia Police Department is a black male with a shaved head and goatee, and has a blue tooth ear piece and smartphone.
