Weekend brawl has Richland County deputies searching for 4 suspects

An early morning brawl Sunday has Richland County investigators requesting the community’s assistance in identifying four suspects wanted for armed robbery and assault and battery.

Sheriff Leon Lott said the fight occurred just before 6 a.m. at the Whiskey Tavern located at 200 Zimalcrest Drive off Bush River Road. When deputies arrived they learned that two people were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. Lott said that was when several other people joined in the fight attacking the victim.

Lott said following the fight, the suspects stole the victim’s cell phone and purse before fleeing the area in a vehicle described as a white Chevrolet Impala sedan. The victim was treated for injuries on scene.

The entire altercation was captured by the businesses’ video surveillance cameras, Lott said.

Lott said the suspects are described as a black male wearing a white tank top, dark-colored pants, white belt and is about 5-foot 5-inches tall. The second suspect is a black male wearing a blue-collared shirt, blue jeans and is approximately 5-foot 5-inches tall.

Lott said the third suspect suspect is described as a black female wearing a green dress, brown shoes and stands approximately 5-foot 3-inches tall, while the final suspect is described as a black female wearing a green dress and has braided hair.
