West Columbia man charged with attempted murder after stabbing victim at house party
A West Columbia man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed another man at a party earlier this month, according to Lexington County investigators.
Capt. Adam Myrick, a department spokesman, said on Sept. 13 Alexander Christopher Eagans, 21, got into an altercation at a party at a residence located in the 400 block of Bushberry Road in Pelion. Eagans then allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife before he fled the scene on foot.
Lexington County investigators took Eagans into custody on Monday, Myrick said.
Eagans is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
Myrick said the case is still under investigation, and anyone with information regarding the incident should call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230, or Crimestoppers at 1 (888)-CRIME-SC.
