Orangeburg County Sheriff charges man as accessory after allegedly helping brother dispose of murder victim

A Santee man was charged as an accessory after the fact of murder Monday, following his brother’s murder conviction.

Jason Glover, 25, was charged after he admitted under oath to helping his brother, Leroy Glover, dispose of a body, said Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell. Leroy Glover, was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison last week for the 2013 murder of Orangeburg businessman Mike Carter.

Orangeburg Public Information Officer Richard Walker said Jason Glover was also charged with murder, but was found not guilty. According to Walker, Jason Glover helped his brother after the homicide by using Carter’s vehicle to drive him to a remote Santee location where the vehicle was set on fire.
