Lexington County deputies search for three, masked suspects in hotel robbery

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department officials are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects involved in an armed robbery incident that occurred last Tuesday.

Capt. Adam Myrick, a department spokesman, said three masked black males entered the Quality Inn on Piney Grove Road at 10 p.m. and robbed the clerk of $540. Investigators said the suspects were wearing gloves and used a sawed-off shotgun and a silver semiautomatic handgun during the robbery.

Myrick said the hotel’s surveillance system captured still images of the suspects, providing investigators with general descriptions of them.

Myrick said the first suspect is described as standing 5-foot to 6-inches to 5-foot 8-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He was wearing a black pull-over sweatshirt with a white logo, dark pants, black shoes and a black beanie-style cap. A blue bandana covered his face.

The second suspect is described as standing 5-foot 6-inches to 5-foot 8-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He was wearing a red pill-over jacket with a red and white logo, gray pants, white and black tennis shoes and a gray beanie-style cap. He was also wearing a blue bandana over his face, Myrick said.

Investigators say the third suspect is approximately 6-foot tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing black coveralls, a black beanie-style cap and white basketball shoes. He too was wearing a blue bandana over his face, Myrick said.
