Camden man charged with sexually assaulting 5-year-old girl

A Camden man charged with sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl was arrested Saturday.

Anthony Parker Dubose, 29, of Tremble Branch Road, Camden, was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim under 11 years of age, according to a release from the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.

A KCSO investigator specializing in sex crimes started looking into the case on Sept. 20, after the child’s mother told police Dubose had sexually assaulted her daughter, according to the release.

After an interview with the girl on Sept. 24, KCSO obtained a warrant for Dubose.

After his arrest Saturday, Dubose was transported to the the Kershaw County Detention Center pending a bond hearing before a circuit court judge, according to the release.

He has a previous arrest for driving under suspension and was arrested as a fugitive from justice in Sumter County in 2011.
