SLED charges Ridgeland woman with forgery
A Ridgeland woman was arrested for forgery by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division on Friday.
Tracey Mitchell, 38, was charged with forgery, value less than $10,000, in connection to a forged document she allegedly provided to the SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon, said SLED officer Thom Berry. According to Berry, Mitchell provided a forged receipt for $3,644 in restitution fees for Mark Jones to the SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon.
The charge is a felony, according to Berry, who added that Mitchell was booked at the Alvin S. Green Detention Center in Richland County.
