Richland County authorities are looking for a Columbia massage therapist accused of sexually assaulting a female client during a massage session.

Marcus James Stevenson, 34, is wanted for criminal sexual conduct on September 30 at a Village at Sandhill massage parlor, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release.

The victim told deputies that Stevenson was giving her a massage at Massage Envy at 630 Promenade Place when he sexually assaulted her.

Stevenson has held a massage/bodywork therapist license with the State of South Carolina since February 2009, according to the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation website.

Authorities are encouraging anyone else who may have been a victim to come forward.

“It doesn’t matter how long ago it may have occurred,” Lott said.

Stevenson is described as a black male standing 5’10” tall and weighing 185 pounds. He has short black hair, brown eyes and facial hair.
