Series of armed robberies plague West Columbia convenience store

Lexington county authorities believe the same man may be responsible for 3 armed robberies within a month of the same West Columbia convenience store.

The Scotchman convenience store on Sunset Boulevard was struck in the early morning hours of October 6, October 23, and November 6 by a similarly described armed robber caught on surveillance video during the October 6th crime.

The robber who held up the clerk around 2:15 a.m. on the 6th was armed with a semi-automatic handgun, and wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black beanie-style cap, sunglasses, red or pink pants and a red bandana covering his face, Lexington County Sheriff’s department detectives said.
