Columbia Police Department

Columbia police officials have released home surveillance images in connection with a fatal shooting on Queen Street that occurred last week.

Police Chief Skip Holbrook said a male, who depicted in the images, is a person of interest in the investigation, and he could have some knowledge about the shooting. The images show the male walking near the intersection of King and Bratton streets, which is near Queen Street, shortly after the shooting occurred.

Holbrook also said the car depicted in the images, a 2008 white Chevrolet Impala, that drove near the area at the time of the shooting and could have information on the person of interest.

On Nov. 16, police were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Queen Street in reference to a shooting, Holbrook said. When police arrived, they found a deceased male sitting on the porch of the residence.

Holbrook said investigators have been able to develop several leads following the shooting.

Columbia police urges that anyone with information regarding the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (888)-CRIME-SC.
