Taylors man arrested on solicitation charges

A Taylors man was arrested on solicitation charges on Dec. 18, according to South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson.

Jacob Elliott, 26, of Taylors, was charged with two counts connected to the sexual solicitation of a minor, Wilson said. Elliott contacted the minor online and then traveled to Newberry County to meet them, according to Wilson.

Elliott is charged with Criminal Solicitation of a Minor and Attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, both felony offenses, said Wilson, whose office will prosecute the case.
