Guns, other items stolen from unlocked cars in Kershaw County
Guns and other items were stolen from several unlocked vehicles early Monday morning, the Kershaw County sheriff’s department said in a news release. The vehicles were not police owned vehicles, as reported earlier, Steve Knafelc of the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday morning.
The thefts took place between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Jan. 25 at the Elgin Police Department on Forest Drive, Camden Police Department off Black River Road and the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department in the Cook Road and Conifer Acres area.
Guns, wallets and purses were stolen from the vehicles, the news release stated. The number of guns taken was not released.
Surveillance photos of the suspects were released in the hope that the public can help identify them.
Two of the subjects had on black hoodies. One was wearing shorts, and another had on pants with a reflective stripe.
