Man charged after shooting sends another to the hospital on Saturday

A shooting off Farrow Road has sent one man to the hospital and another to jail.

Richland County deputies responded to a shots fired call on the 8000 block of Brookmont Lane on Saturday, sheriff’s department spokesman Curtis Wilson said in an emailed release. There deputies found a man who had been shot multiple times in the lower body. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

Interviews with witnesses led investigators to Antoine Irick, 35, who was out of jail on bond for an earlier weapons charge. Irick was charged Saturday with attempted murder and was being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
