Suspect arrested at Keenan High for possession of a weapon
An individual was arrested by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department at Keenan High Monday for possession of a weapon among other charges.
Delijah Robinson, 18, was charged with unlawful use of a telephone, weapon on school grounds, and unlawful possession of a weapon, said Richland County Public Information Officer Lt. Curtis Wilson, who added Robinson isn’t a student at Keenan High.
Students approached the School Resource Officer with information about threats made against students, according to a statement released by Sheriff Leon Lott, adding that Robinson was confronted in the parking lot and arrested without incident. Lott said a gun was located on the front passenger seat of Robinson’s vehicle.
The SRO was found several messages on the student’s phone sent from Robinson’s phone that were threatening and directed at the student, said Lott, who added that Robinson and the student were acquaintances involved in a dispute. Robinson has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, Lott said.
