Fake money used to buy $7K in gift cards, suspects sought

Richland County authorities are looking for 4 men accused of passing counterfeit money to buy gift cards at the Walmart on Two Notch Road last year.

The four men were captured in surveillance photos that were released to the public Friday by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department in an appeal for help identifying the men.

Over several different visits to the store located at 10060 Two Notch Road, the men allegedly used counterfeit cash to purchase some $7,000 worth of gift cards during December 2015, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release.
