Deputies: Richland County man attempted to shoot, kill woman
The Richland County Sheriff’s department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for attempted murder.
Deputies are looking for Donnie Dimele Jr., 19, who is wanted for four counts of attempted murder, shooting into a dwelling, malicious injury to personal property and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Dimele allegedly went to an address on Wilkinson Drive, north of Killian, about 5:30 p.m. March 8 and fired multiple shots, striking a residence and vehicle, according to a news release.
Sheriff Leon Lott said the victim was standing at the front door of the residence and witnesses Dimele fire shots at her. Three other residents were at the home and no one was injured.
Lott said Dimele is an acquaintance of the victim’s son.
