Lexington County deputies, last week, spotted a man driving a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was reported stolen. But when they tried to pull him over, he fled.

This week, the suspect, identified as Stephen Johnson Craft II, 37, was taken into custody. A search of his residence turned up “a wide array of items that were stolen during two burglaries earlier this month,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a news release.

Craft has been charged with receiving stolen goods, electricity theft, marijuana possession, meth distribution and failure to stop for a blue light, Koon said.

The stolen Harley spotted last week and a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle Craft is suspected in stealing, have not been recovered, Koon said.

Craft was being held at the Lexington County Detention Center Friday night.

The investigation into the two burglaries and motorcycle thefts remain open, Koon said.
