Waffle House robbed at gunpoint

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in an armed robbery of a Waffle House restaurant.

A suspect walked into Waffle House, 2345 Broad River Road, just before 5 a.m. March 22 when he presented a handgun, according to a news release from the department.

The suspect reportedly demanded money from an employee and then fled the business with an unknown amount of cash.

No one was injured during the robbery

Video cameras captured footage of the incident.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or www.sccrimestoppers.com. Tips can be anonymous, and anyone with information leading to the arrest of a suspect can receive a reward of up to $1,000.
