UPDATE: 80-year-old with health issues located

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office has located David Austin, the 80-year-old man reported by his family. He was unharmed, sheriff’s department spokesman Curtis Wilson said in an emailed release.

The 80-year-old Midlands man, who suffers from unspecified health issues, was last seen by his family on Monday at his home on Zimalcrest Drive in north Columbia, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release.

He was last seen wearing a black leather hat with an eagle, a blue and gray plaid jacket with a hood, and black and tan plaid pants.
