UPDATE: Missing 13-year-old Richland County girl found safe

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday that 13 year-old Deanna Johnson was located safe and unharmed on Saturday near Columbia Mall Boulevard.

Richland County deputies are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenage girl.

Deanna Johnson, 13, was last seen by family members Monday walking away from her residence on Brittany Park Road in Northeast Columbia, according to a news release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Leon Lott said investigators have been told she may in the the Two Notch Road area of Richland County.

Johnson is a black female who was last seen wearing a brown jacket, green pants and a black book bag.

Anyone with information about Deanna’s whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s department at (803) 576-3000.
