Suspect arrested minutes after bank robbery

Columbia police arrested a man they believe stole from a bank then fled to his apartment in a taxi shortly after the incident.

Sammie Bernard Greene, 54, allegedly passed a note to a teller at Bank of America, 2111 Devine St., about 4:30 p.m. demanding money, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department. The teller reportedly complied with the demands.
