Deputies: Suspect pawned instrument stolen from Irmo High School

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a suspect who allegedly pawned an instrument stolen from an area high school.

Deputies believe Latasha Wicker, 37, pawned a baritone horn stolen from Irmo High School at the Best Deal Pawn Shop, 6207 Two Notch Road, according to a news release from the department. Deputies identified Wicker from surveillance footage from the shop.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated Wicker’s father reportedly stole the horn from the school and has since been arrested by Lexington County investigators.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, text “TIPSC” plus the message to CRIMES (274637) or www.sccrimestoppers.com. Tips can be anonymous, and anyone with information leading to the arrest of a suspect can receive a reward of up to $1,000.
