Deputies searching for suspects involved in kidnapping
Richland County deputies are searching for suspects they believe held several people at gunpoint and attempted to fight another victim.
Antwann Davis, 36, was on the 400 block of Green Lake Drive in Hopkins March 20 when he allegedly pointed a gun at a victim while Jason Branch, 31, attempted to fight another person, according to a news release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Leon Lott said investigators are also searching for a third suspect they believe held a 12-year-old victim and his mother at gunpoint during the incident, the release stated.
Deputies said Davis and Branch are neighbors of the victims and were involved in an altercation with them earlier that day.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
Anyone who knows the locations of the suspects is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, text “TIPSC” plus the message to CRIMES (274637) or www.sccrimestoppers.com. Tips can be anonymous, and anyone with information leading to the arrest of a suspect can receive a reward of up to $1,000.
