Video shows utility trailer stolen from hotel parking lot

Surveillance footage caught a suspect or suspects stealing a utility trailer full of tools, and Richland County deputies is seeking the public’s help in identifying them.

An unknown suspect or suspects stole a white, fully-enclosed 2006 Pace utility trailer from the parking lot of Quality Inn, 8104 Two Notch Road, Tuesday night, according to a news release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Surveillance video showed a dark-colored SUV towing the trailer away, and investigators believe it is a Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The trailer contained various tools, including shovels, brooms and hammers.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or suspects is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, text “TIPSC” plus the message to CRIMES (274637) or www.sccrimestoppers.com. Tips can be anonymous, and anyone with information leading to the arrest of a suspect can receive a reward of up to $1,000.
