Driver dies in single-vehicle wreck in Hopkins
UPDATE:
Officials released the name and cause of death for driver who died in a single-vehicle car wreck early Tuesday morning.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Genise Regina Law, 49, of Oswego was the driver and only occupant in a single-vehicle wreck around 2:30 a.m. on the 9400 block of Garners Ferry Road/U.S. 76.
An autopsy indicated Law died from blunt trauma of the head and torso.
State Highway Patrol continues to investigate this wreck.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances behind a single-vehicle wreck that killed one person early Tuesday morning.
Troopers reported the driver of a 1998 Ford Explorer was heading eastbound on U.S. 76 near Blue Johnson Road near Hopkins about 2:15 a.m. when the vehicle ran off the side of the roadway to the right.
The vehicle then overturned and struck several trees.
The driver was wearing a seat belt during the crash.
The wreck remains under investigation.
