1 person beaten, shots fired at Blythewood house party

Richland County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a house party where shots were fired and a person was beaten by several suspects Friday night.

A person was beaten inside a back room in the house at 825 Langford Road in Blythewood, deputies say. There were also reports of shots being fired outside the home, but no one was injured by gunfire, deputies say.

The assault victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for upper-body injuries.
