$32K in camouflage Humvee doors, tires and 2 diesel engines stolen from motel parking lot

Someone made off with about $32,000 worth of military surplus items loaded onto the trailer of a truck that was also stolen from a motel parking lot on Thursday, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release.

The gray 2005 Ford F-250 truck with Georgia tags (BQ68CU) and flatbed trailer were parked at the Ramada Inn located at 1539 Horseshoe Drive, near the intersection of Two Notch Road and I-20.

The back of the truck and trailer were loaded with military surplus gear the victim was taking to Georgia, Sgt Brittany Scott of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said.

The 20-foot trailer had “numerous green, tan, and camouflage Humvee doors along with 8 Humvee tires and 2 diesel engines valued at approximately $32,000,” Lott said.
