Man shot in NE Richland County

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday in a neighborhood near Decker Shopping Mall.

Deputies responded to a shots fired call at 7426 Hunt Club Road to find a man had been shot in the lower body, said sheriff’s department spokesman Curtis Wilson.

The victim was been taken to Palmetto Health Richland hospital. His condition is unknown. Sheriff’s deputies continue to investigate.
