Pregnant woman attacked, Columbia man charged
Police charged a Columbia man with 2nd degree domestic violence after an attack on a pregnant woman at a home on Patterson Road on May 5.
Travers Anderson, 38, is accused of chocking the victim, threatening her with a weapon and then hitting her with a metal chair. The attack started with a verbal argument, the police said in a news release.
Anderson’s relationship with the woman was not indicated.
Anderson was taken into custody on May 10. He was being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center Thursday night.
