Columbia woman busted for drugs after allegedly stealing underwear
A Columbia woman found herself in trouble for drugs after allegedly stealing underwear from Wal-Mart on Harbison Boulevard on Saturday morning.
According to the Columbia Police Department incident report, Shannon Green, 27, took two pieces of clothing – described as women’s undergarments worth $25 each – and left the store.
When police confronted Green, she had no identification on her. She told the responding officer her ID was in her vehicle, according to the report.
The officer opened Green’s vehicle and “could smell a strong odor of marijuana” – and then spotted what the report describes as a hand-rolled cigarette containing a green, plant-like material.
Green was taken to the Lexington County Detention Center.
