Suspects pulled handgun on Circle K employee before stealing cash, cigarettes

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in a gas station robbery.

Two suspects entered a Circle K gas station, 7919 Parklane Road, and presented a handgun around 3 a.m. March 23, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department.

The suspects then demanded money from an employee then fled the business with about $240 in cash and 15 packs of cigarettes.

No injuries were reported.

Video cameras captured the suspects on tape, who were wearing black and had bandanas over their faces. The department described the suspects as black males in their mid-20s.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, text “TIPSC” plus the message to CRIMES (274637) orwww.sccrimestoppers.com. Tips can be anonymous, and anyone with information leading to the arrest of a suspect can receive a reward of up to $1,000.
