Rosewood Drive gas station robbed at gunpoint Friday night

The Gasway gas station on Rosewood Drive in Columbia was robbed at gunpoint Friday night.

Columbia police are investigating the robbery that happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday at the gas station in the 200 block of Rosewood Drive. An armed male suspect stole money from the store and left the scene, according to Columbia police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons.

Early information indicates a gun was fired during the robbery, Timmons said. There were no injuries, and police are working to determine whether the gun was accidentally or intentionally fired.
