Kershaw County deputies arrested a man Saturday after a spree of vehicle break-ins in the Camden area.

Jalen Malik Bracey, 20, of Woodlawn Drive in Camden, was charged with multiple counts of larceny and breaking into a motor vehicle, according to the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Early Saturday morning, officers responded to a home on Woodlawn Drive after reports of break-ins at four different homes on that street.

With the help of one of the victims, deputies discovered some of the stolen items were located at another home on Woodlawn Drive, officials said.

Deputies questioned the occupants of that home, and found that Bracey had entered the vehicles multiple times – taking numerous items and small amounts of cash – according to the sheriff’s office. When officers arrested Bracey at his residence, officials say he admitted to the break-ins and thefts.

Bracey was taken to the Kershaw County Detention Center. He was released Monday on a $16,000 bond. He previously has been arrested on multiple counts of breaking into vehicles, burglary, attempted burglary and receiving stolen goods, according to the sheriff’s office.
