Woman pepper sprays man after she says he disrespected her mother

A woman went to a man’s home and pepper sprayed him Friday because she said he disrespected her mother earlier in the day.

That’s according to the incident report from the Columbia Police Department. The 43-year-old man told police the woman sprayed him in the face with pepper spray, and that afterward, he went out to her vehicle and flattened two of its tires.

The 20-year-old woman admitted to spraying the man, the incident report says. The man told police he did not wish to press charges.

The altercation happened in the 1500 block of Ashley Street, according to the incident report. Police responded at about 4:40 p.m. Friday.
