Camera rolls while thief steals package from front porch of home

Richland County deputies are working to identify a suspect caught on surveillance cameras stealing a package from a home.

The footage shows a suspect walking up to the front porch of a home on the 200 block of River Creek Drive in Irmo June 14.

The suspect rings the doorbell, waits, then takes a package that was left near the front door by a mail carrier, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, text “TIPSC” plus the message to CRIMES (274637) or log onto www.sccrimestoppers.com. Tips can be anonymous, and anyone with information leading to the arrest of a suspect can receive a reward of up to $1,000.
